Allstate Management Resists Executive Accountability Proposals

Earlier this year, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Employees Pension Plan announced its 2009 shareholder program to foster reasonable executive compensation at The Allstate Corporation.  Opposed by Allstate management, the measures failed.  According to AFSCME, Allstate management has recommended that shareholders reject the AFSCME measures on executive pay at Allstate’s last two annual shareholder meetings.
